POSITION SUMMARY

Varian Executive Partnership (VEP) Clinical Consultant is a clinical operations leader for the VEP program that is focused on solution execution, customer service and client retention by deeply understanding the customers strategy, business model and success metrics. Customers will consist of complex, multi-site organizations looking to implement high functioning service lines.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivers consulting project activities, through medium- to long-term engagements requiring varied interpersonal and technical skills.
  • Technical responsibilities include evaluating business processes, recommending process changes, process documentation, problem identification, hardware/software specification and/or design, change management, testing recommended strategies, identifying client training needs, and solution deployment.
  • Performance is typically evaluated based on utilization, (i.e., billable hours) and contractual deliverables.
  • Project activities include interaction with company and client managers, ensuring congruency from consulting through training and implementation.
  • May have some financial responsibilities including project cost estimating, and proposal generation.
  • May participate in sales and proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities.
  • Identifies additional product/services opportunities in customer organization. Viewed by customers as a consultant.
  • Performance is typically measured by delivery of agreed solutions within budgeted hours.
  • Applicable to the Oncology Systems business only: Position must have full access to VMS client sites to perform the essential functions of this position. Many VMS clients require VMS employees and representatives to meet certain “Vendor Credentialing” requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites. Unless prohibited by law, position must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access, and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of VMS employment in this position.

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Radiation Therapist and /or medical dosimetrist or medical physicist with 8 years clinical experience or 8 years experience doing business consulting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Other Desired Skills and Knowledge: Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills, proficiency in computer usage, business process reengineering, experience working in oncology clinic and medical software implementation
  • Required Certifications and Training: Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility.
  • Applicable to the Oncology Systems business only: Meets all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to gain VMS client site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to:
    • Proof of valid identification (photo, driver’s license, SSN)
    • Criminal background checks
    • Drug screens
    • Immunizations (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus)
    • Annual TB testing
    • Healthcare trainings
  • Experience Level with Business Tools: Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in process mapping software Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) and 8 years of related experience or Masters Degree with 6 years of related experience.

The base pay range for this position is

Min $89,000 - Max $160,000

The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
