Job Description:

Essential responsibilities, duties and authority

  • Participate in the rollout of global cross-site automation strategies. Lead the solution design, equipment selection, installation, and commissioning of automated production lines for fluid transmission systems, ensuring solutions are practical and scalable.
  • Evaluate and implement advanced technologies such as robotics, machine vision, AI-driven quality analysis, and predictive maintenance to support smart manufacturing objectives
  •  Drive the design and deployment of scalable automation solutions to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness across global operations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with plant leadership, product engineering, IT, supply chain, and quality teams to align on automation goals and priorities.
  • Serve as a key technical authority in automation architecture, control systems, machine vision, and predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Coordinate and manage technology rollouts across international manufacturing sites, ensuring consistency in execution and performance measurement.
  • Establish partnerships with equipment suppliers, integrators, and technology providers on a global scale.
  • Define and track KPIs related to automation and advanced manufacturing outcomes, such as OEE, scrap reduction, labor efficiency, and downtime minimization.
  • Engage with global equipment suppliers and system integrators. Participate in technical solution reviews and equipment acceptance to ensure performance meets requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with global safety and environmental regulations, including regional standards.
  • Coordinate 3P’s in the plant. Utilizes the concepts of continuous improvement including Lean.

Required knowledge/education, qualification/ability and/or experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics (master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of engineering experience in automation or advanced manufacturing; experience in fluid transmission systems or automotive parts manufacturing is a plus.
  • Mastery of automation principles and in-depth understanding of mechanical structures; capable of independent requirement research, solution design, and proficient in CAD/SolidWorks for solution development.
  • Strong understanding of PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), robotics (e.g., FANUC, ABB), HMI/SCADA systems, and machine vision applications (e.g., Keyence/Hikvision)..
  • In-depth understanding and application of concepts, theories and principles in own discipline.
  • Identify & coordinate the resolution of issues related to programs or processes
  • Fluent in English reading and writing; able to understand international technical documents or participate in cross-regional project communications.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 30–40% as needed.
