For our ITO & Cloud North and Central Europe organization we are searching for a NonStop architect in Finland alternatively within Nordic countries or EU/EES.
… an enthusiastic and agile NonStop architect for our customer projects and ongoing services. We need experience at designing & implementing enterprise application solutions based on modern approaches and industry trends.
The NonStop Solutions Architect is mainly responsible for designing, building and deploying large enterprise solutions based on business requirements, lead analysis and design in this area in close cooperation with both internal and external delivery project teams and participate in building and developing the complete solution with the Customer.
You will closely cooperate with product developers, infrastructure operations teams, other consultants, project managers and support teams and your peers both on and off-site. You will work as architect mainly on projects in the Nordic region. This position will require occasional travel to the Customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and design enterprise processes, functions, methods and best-practices with customers (mainly in financial area).
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into a solution across multiple technologies and multiple teams with a focus on the NonStop platform.
Ability to understand the breadth and depth of the deliverables and how the solution fits into the customer strategy.
Identify opportunities to simplify and improve exist technology landscape.
Prepare functional specifications and work closely with other solution architects and developers.
Participation in presales, solutioning and client interactions.
Participation in implementation/development projects.
Supports business critical applications in complex environments, working mostly with financial customers.
Manage, update, optimize and document solutions based on HPE NonStop in collaboration with delivery, development, infrastructure operations, support teams and application teams.
Provides advice on technical solutions and project estimation.
Key Technical Knowledges
NonStop tools and utilities including systems administration tools (e.g. SCF)
5+ years’ experience in TAL and/or C programming language
Experience in middleware tools e.g. JDBC / ODBC, RESTful Services etc.
Experience in NonStop OSS and/or other Linux / Unix environments (knowledge Apache / Apache Tomcat is an advantage)
Experience as a NonStop Systems Administrator and / or NonStop Operations
Knowledge of SCOBOL / COBOL
Knowledge of SQL/MP and SQL/MX
Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols e.g. SFTP, SNMP etc.

The ideal candidate will have:
Deep level knowledge of NonStop systems and architecture, ideally as systems administrator.
5 years+ as a Solution architect/lead
6+ years of experience on HPE Nonstop Systems (Tandem Systems)
5+ years of experience with developing and designing large solutions across multiple technologies e.g Linux, Windows etc
3+ years of proven experience with implementing of large solutions (implementation, transition, transformation, modernization, migration of systems)
Ability to create and conduct presentations on business strategy for the NonStop platform to senior managers and executives
Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills
Experience in design of NonStop virtualized solutions is a benefit
Knowledge of architecture methodologies is a benefit
Experience in business analysis and solutioning.
Experience in Scrum, project management and project management processes is a benefit.
Good oral and written skills in English.
Open to new experiences in a modern development environment.
