Job Title: Veterinary Cardiology Specialist / Residency-Trained Clinician

Location: Winchester, Hampshire

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Cardiology Specialist (Board-Certified) or Residency-Trained Clinician to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, referral-based environment, delivering exceptional care to patients with complex cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with cardiovascular diseases, including echocardiography, ECG interpretation, and interventional procedures.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (internal medicine, surgery, anaesthesia) to ensure comprehensive patient care.

  • Offer clinical guidance and mentorship to interns, residents, and nursing staff.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses.

  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

  • Engage in continuing education and maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in veterinary cardiology.

Requirements

  • Board Certification (ECVIM or ACVIM in Cardiology) OR completion of a recognized cardiology residency program.

  • Proven clinical experience in managing complex cardiac cases.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to client care and team collaboration.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced referral hospital environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in interventional cardiology procedures (e.g., pacemaker implantation, balloon valvuloplasty).

  • Interest in teaching and mentoring veterinary professionals.

  • Research involvement or willingness to contribute to clinical studies.
