Position Summary: The Endoscopy Technician - Certified position is integral in supporting the model of care for inpatients and outpatients undergoing GI and Pulmonary Bronchoscopy procedures. Assists with the daily operational flow to ensure GI procedures have the necessary instrumentation, supplies, and equipment needed by the Endoscopy team to provide safe and efficient care to patients and to assist other department personnel with systems issues.

Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED and 2 years or more of experience in direct patient care role. Knowledge of basic medical and surgical terminology.

Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (HSPA), Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor/GI Scope (CBSPD), CRCST through HSPA or CSPDT through CBSPD upon hire.

Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred Requirements: Vocational or technical training or degree: Medical Assistant, Sterile Processing, Surgical Tech. 3 years or more of experience in OR, Endoscopy or related perioperative area. Understanding of and experience with Endoscopic equipment, processing, and procedures. Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA), Sterile Processing, Surgical Technologist, or Endoscopy Technician.

Scheduling Requirements: Monday-Friday, no holidays , no weekends, some call
