Leidos Defense Systems, is seeking a talented Engineering Drawing Checker to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, the defense sector provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review Mechanical/Electrical Drawings:

    • Ensure the accuracy and correctness of drawings and BOMs.

    • Verify adherence to company and industry standards.

    • Check for completeness, clarity, and consistency in documentation.

  • Participate in Table-Top Reviews:

    • Collaborate with engineers and designers during reviews.

    • Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvements.

    • Document and track changes resulting from review sessions.

  • Support PLM Data Management:

    • Assist in maintaining the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) records.

    • Ensure all drawing data is correctly entered and updated in the PLM database.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed records of review processes and outcomes.

    • Support the creation and updating of drawing guidelines and standards.

  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Liaise with engineering teams to resolve design/drawing issues.

    • Support training and guidance to team members on drawing standards and procedures.

    • Help foster a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Drafting and Design or minimum 12 years’ of applicable mechanical design and checking experience in lieu of degree.

  • Creo and Windchill CAD software experience, master of engineering drawing standards.

  • Candidate must be a U.S Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain ) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

SolidWorks and AutoCAD CAD experience preferred.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
