Shoppers Drug Mart Specialty Health Network supports our retail stores to provide the best patient care to patients who require specialty drugs. We provide patient support programs for specialty drug therapies, providing physicians with resources to manage their patients, facilitating reimbursement, and enhancing patient compliance. We deliver superior customer service to patients, healthcare providers and pharmaceutical manufacturers to improve healthcare outcomes for all stakeholders. 
 
We are hiring a Program Manager to support our business and take on leadership of a growing portfolio.
 
You will oversee the planning, implementation, execution and tracking of program deliverables and projects and ensure the program team successfully delivers the desired result on time and with the most efficient resources. The Program Manager manages the organization and execution of both internal and external program deliverables and leads various projects. Leadership of key client projects will be in partnership with a Senior Program Manager.  
 
What you will do: 
 

Program Management

  • Lead a portfolio of Patient Support Programs, ensuring excellence in ongoing program operations, managing program deliverables on time and within scope
  • In partnership with Senior Program Manager, manage communication and interaction with clients
  • Provide a consistent, effective operating structure for program teams
  • Work with other internal stakeholders ensuring all parties understand deliverables, and take accountability and ownership of those deliverables.
  • Identify risks in the programs and communicate appropriately with senior management to develop risk mitigation plan
  • Ensure business decisions are made in consultation with appropriate representation from all impacted functional areas
  • Provide a collaborative environment for issues to be discussed and resolved effectively and appropriately, and with buy-in from all stakeholders
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of work to adhere to company standards  
  • Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Technical Complaints (PTC) immediately or as soon as possible upon becoming aware of the event as per current policies and procedures

Leadership

  • Lead a small team of Patient Care Specialists and manage the effective utilization of resources assigned to the program team
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members supporting them in their ongoing career growth and development


 
What you will need: 

  • 3-5 years’ program management or management experience in the Patient Support Program and/or Specialty Drug space
  • Experience working with Patient Support Programs with a strong understanding of the reimbursement landscape and the operational requirements needed to deliver support to patients
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellence in assessment, communication, critical thinking, and decision making
  • Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of the organization
  • Computer skills, including MS Project and Visio
  • Client-facing experience
  • Highly motivated professional who demonstrates strong initiative and is capable of leading projects independently
  • The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset, consistently seeking out ways to improve areas of opportunities
