Telexistence develops remote controlled robots with artificial intelligence, with the mission to change robots, change the structure, and change the world. Gathered by high expertise professionals from all over the world, the engineering team consistently develops robotic hardware, software and AI technology in-house. TX aims to expand the scope of robotics activities beyond the factory floor and transform the fundamental nature of labor society.

This role focuses on automation of custom made manipulators, aiming to automate convenience store operations without human intervention at a high success rate, by developing perception modules.
The focus will be to leverage sensor data (RGB data, Depth data, and others) and manipulators, and improve the existing system to further automate its success rate. In addition, this role also focuses on implementing clean and scalable software architecture, using C++ and ROS. Unlike other positions in automation team, system integration engineer would be required to have broad knowledge across control, perception and software engineering, and its responsibility will be to “glue” components together, while also have some basic knowledge to optimize and improve performance of each other. Additionally, we would expect them to develop unique algorithms that combines both domain knowledge from motion and perception areas. Thus, we appreciate a personnel interested in both motion and perception areas, as well as in software engineering. Position Location will be at Telexistence's Headquarters Office (Heiwajima, Tokyo) or another location designated by the company.
