Digital Technical Analyst                                     

Lafayette, Indiana                                           

JOB PURPOSE:
To develop digital solutions to support the manufacturing facility

What will you do:

Working under the direction of a Digital Program Manager you will work with Blackbelts, Managers, and the Operations team to develop digital solutions to business processes.  Tasks for the role may include, but are not limited to:

- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for digital transformation

- Design, develop, test, and deploy digital solutions using systems and languages such as Python and SQL.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide feedback, and demonstrate solutions

- Develop solutions with Microsoft PowerApps and PowerAutomate

- Troubleshoot and maintain existing digital solutions and provide user support

- Document and communicate best practices and lessons learned for digital solutions

Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management.

Education:

4-year degree in engineering or computer related degree program OR Associates with relevant work experience.

Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful insights.

Programming Languages: Knowledge of languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Java.

Digital Tools: Familiarity with tools like Power BI for data visualization and reporting.

IoT and Industry 4.0: Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and their application in manufacturing

Cybersecurity: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles to protect digital assets.

Automation: Skills in robotic process automation (RPA) and other automation technologies.

Critical Thinking: Evaluating complex scenarios to make informed decisions.

  • Location of this position is in Lafayette, IN
