Job Description

As a Directory Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and security of our Active Directory environment. You will play a critical role in managing user access, securing data, and ensuring system reliability across the organization.

Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations:

  • Manage and maintain Active Directory services, including user and group management, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and domain controllers.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and execute regular maintenance to ensure high availability and reliability of Active Directory services.

  • Implement and oversee security measures, including access controls, account management policies, and directory hygiene practices.

  • Coordinate with IT security teams to audit and enforce compliance with organizational and industry standards.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Active Directory.

  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices related to Active Directory and identity management.

  • Become familiar with our directories integrations

  • Apply appropriate caution when making changes to our high availability security infrastructure

  • Comply with in house standards

Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in Active Directory operations and administration.

  • Strong understanding of Windows Server environments and networking principles.

  • Familiarity with using the Windows command line

  • Experience with scripting and automation of administrative tasks, using tools such as command line batch and PowerShell

  • Any experience with high level programming languages including C# appreciated

  • Knowledge of LDAP, Kerberos, and other authentication/authorization protocols.

  • Any experience with email systems ( Exchange, Office 365, Google) and email protocols (SMTP, POP, IMAP) appreciated

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.


Basic Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Active Directory experience

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate) are a plus.
