Impact In This Role

As the Atlassian Senior Administrator, you will partner with several teams, to focus on changes and improvements to Atlassian Cloud functionality in support of business needs. You will also work with the Business Application teams supporting Fictiv’s organization and must be a strategic partner in determining best practices.
You will analyse project objectives, design, implement and document solutions, and troubleshoot and solve problems when they arise. You will convert business requirements from the Product Owners and map them to technical requirements and implement those designs.
This role requires extensive hands-on experience working with Atlassian Cloud products including Jira Software, Jira Work Management, Jira Service Management, Jira Product Discovery, Atlassian Access, Confluence, Atlassian Marketplace Apps, Atlassian Automation and OpsGenie; as well as extensive experience exposing data from Atlassian Cloud in integration scenarios. This role requires a deep understanding of SSO using OKTA with Atlassian Cloud. You will be responsible for understanding requirements, defining architecture and working with cross-functional teams to create implementation plans. You will provide thought leadership for all solutions to meet and exceed expectations. 

You are accountable for meeting all of Fictiv’s engineering best practices for development, testing, staging and production release of code. Additionally, you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Integrations and Infrastructure teams to provide these teams guidance and your specific expertise on Atlassian Cloud.

What You’ll be doing

  • Subject Matter Expert on all configuration, implementation, installed marketplace apps, customization and billing end-to-end for Atlassian Cloud products, Jira, Confluence, Jira Work Management, Automation, Access and Jira Service Desk; including Integrations through Mulesoft with Atlassian Cloud API, Data Modeling in Atlassian Cloud, Atlassian Cloud development and testing practices.
  • Identify dependencies, organize work and unblock development in support of delivery, release, and change management for the business.
  • Expert in the Atlassian Cloud ecosystem of applications and supporting systems that integrate with Atlassian Cloud.
  • Design using Atlassian Cloud REST APIs to develop integrated solutions with other software, automate manual processes, data migration routines and extract data for reporting and analytics purposes.
  • Create and manage security schemes, custom fields and configurations.
  • Review, install, manage and administer add-ons, plugins, and extensions for Atlassian Cloud products.
  • Design process workflows for Jira including field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes/
  • Partner with all cross-functional teams and external consultants to deliver business value.
  • Learn Fictiv’s use of Atlassian Cloud, how it is unique to Fictiv’s business workflow (functionality and environment) and recommend steps to adapt and improve the system as a whole.
  • Develop solutions cross functionally, owning the implementations needed in Atlassian Cloud, including design, implementation, quality control, end-to-end testing plans in multiple environments (dev/test/stage/prod), troubleshooting, bug fixing and post release end user support.
  • Own stability of Atlassian Cloud products while adhering to Fictiv’s engineering standards including, incident management, monitoring, alerting, incident resolution process and disaster recovery.
  • Create delivery timelines for implementations, set expectations cross-functionally.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure changes to event implementations and integrations are gracefully handled in a scalable way within Atlassian Cloud.
  • Drive daily stand-ups, discovery sessions, backlog refinement, sprint planning and retrospective meetings for your development team.
  • Act as a release manager, approving configuration and coded items to be deployed between environments; this can include from time to time supervising the configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment of Atlassian Cloud changes.
  • Maintain the security and data integrity of Atlassian Cloud.
  • Research, diagnose, monitor and eliminate when possible performance bottlenecks.
  • Mentor other technical team members with best practices.
  • Write documentation on technical designs, technical processes, best practices; from time to time this can include providing technical training for cross-functional teams.
  • Make decisions based on data and trade offs; able to justify and defend those decisions, providing insight to the rationale and details when required.
  • Triage, prioritise and solve urgent issues when they arise; minimize impact to the business, create plans to fully address/correct/remove temporary solutions once the immediate urgent issue is resolved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or Equivalent.
  • 8-12 years of experience in managing Atlassian applications
  • Atlassian Certification in the following areas (minimum):
    • Certified Jira Administration for Data Center and Cloud (ACP-100, ACP-120, ACP-JCA)
  • Atlassian Certification in at least 3 of the following areas:
    • Certified in Managing Jira Projects for Cloud (ACP-MJCP)
    • Certified Jira Service Project Manager for Cloud (ACP-MJSP)
    • Project Administration in Jira Server/Managing Jira Projects in Server and Data Center (ACP-600, ACP-610, ACP-620)
    • Confluence Administrator (ACP-200)
    • Confluence Space Administration Pro Skills Badge (APB-CSA)
    • Agile Development with Jira (ACP-300)
    • Certified Jira Service Desk Administrator (ACP-JSD)
    • Jira Service Desk Administration/Service Projects for Cloud (ACP-400, ACP-420)
    • Cloud Organization Admin (ACP-OA)
    • Atlassian System Administrator (ACP-500)
  • Other desirable Atlassian Certifications will be considered on a case by case basis:
    • Certified in Managing Jira Projects for Data Center (ACP-MJDP)
