The Role
We are recruiting a Country Manager Infectious Diseases for the Nordic Region. The Country Manager will have the full responsibility of the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Diseases Unit in the region.
Responsibilities
Works with team and cross divisional partners to identify and evaluate market opportunities and sales potential;
Manages and coaches the activities of field personnel to establish and achieve their annual sales objectives;
Negotiates contracts with external customers.
Keeps management informed of market dynamics and competitive activity.
Recruits, coaches and develops organizational talent;
Fosters a workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives. Creates an entrepreneurial environment;
Manages profitability and exercises expense control. Full responsibility for the Nordic region;
Responsible for leading and ensuring organization compliance to salesforce effectiveness standards and tools including CRM system;
Develops & executes marketing and market development activities including referral programs;
Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision-making and action;
Demonstrates effective change leadership;
Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives;
Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures;
Makes decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve regional objectives;
Builds customer relations with multi-disciplinary specialties physicians;
Reports country performance and conducts business reviews with regional management;
Communicates vision, strategy and objectives throughout the team, encouraging cross-divisional collaboration and teamwork lo drive continuous improvement, functional effectiveness and cost efficiency;
Provides all forecasts, business reports and information flows as required by the company on a timely basis;
Builds and maintains relationships with local Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) to encourage their continuous input on conventional therapies/ technologies, emerging technologies and patient requirements;
Assesses capabilities of the local organization objectively and identifies potential for development in terms of Abbott competitive advantage, market coverage, brand image and cost structure;
Develops strategic and operating plans;
Regularly re-evaluates performance against forecasts and budgets and takes timely action to meet agreed targets;
Qualifications
Commercial/ Business Education.
MBA preferred.
Substantial experience in leading commercial teams in the Medical Device Business in the Nordics.
Knowledge of the market
General Finance - and Management skills
Sales and negotiations skills
Fluent in English and local languages to perform role in Nordics
Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ele.)
Demonstrated excellence in managing P&L
Experience leading salesforce effectiveness initiatives including adoption of CRM systems
Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets
Excellent negotiator, proven track record in commercial excellence
Demonstrated track record of launching new products
Good coach, communicator, self-manager, self-motivator.
Good organizational skills.
Excellent Leadership skills
