Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced Windows Systems Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize our enterprise Windows server environment.
- The role involves deploying and configuring Windows servers, ensuring system security, performing proactive monitoring, and supporting application and infrastructure teams with Windows-based workloads.
What you’ll do:
System Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022).
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and certificate services.
- Administer Windows Failover Clustering and Hyper-V/VMware virtualization.
- Operations & Maintenance
- Perform OS patching, hotfix application, and server hardening.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot OS and application issues.
- Maintain backup and recovery processes (Veeam, Commvault, or equivalent).
Security & Compliance
- Apply security updates and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
- Implement and monitor endpoint security solutions.
- Automation & Scripting
- Develop PowerShell scripts for system automation and reporting.
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and DevOps initiatives.
- Collaboration
- Partner with application teams, database administrators, and network engineers.
- Provide on-call support for critical incidents.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Windows server administration in enterprise environments.
- Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and WSUS.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Understanding of ITIL processes.
- Support (24 x 7 support) – shift rotation, work weekends and evenings
- Team player, fast learner, work in a fasted paced environment and share knowledge.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Azure AD, Intune, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Exposure to Microsoft System Center (SCCM, SCOM).
- Certification: MCSA/MCSE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent. (ID111)
