Job Summary:
Responsible for leading preventative and routine maintenance of electrical service distribution, fire alarm maintenance, nurse call systems, paging systems, and all items related to electrical work. Completes all paperwork associated with each job while providing excellent customer service to all.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and upkeep of the electrical distribution systems. Assists in the development and training of Maintenance Technicians. Performs in a lead role on assigned projects.
Exercises preventative maintenance on life safety equipment.
Maintains and completes required paperwork.
Performs monthly testing of generators and transfer switches.
Attends required OSHA and shop meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma General or GED General
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
- GADL - Georgia Driver's License or VSDL - Valid State Driver's License
Additional License(s) and Certification(s):
Georgia State Electrical License Upon Hire Preferred
Required Minimum Experience:
Education clarification: Vocational or technical training or degree: Industrial Maintenance or Electrical Maintenance Preferred and
Minimum 3 years electrical field Required or
Minimum 5 years electrical field Preferred
Required Minimum Skills:
Troubleshooting electrical systems
Troubleshooting electrical systems including fire alarm and nurse call in a hospital environment- Preferred
