CRNA opening on a collaborative team at nationally recognized Riverside Regional Medical Center with challenging and rewarding case Description Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA, provides the newest medical technology in a healing environment. It is the most comprehensive facility of its kind on the Virginia Peninsula. This short-term acute care hospital with 300 beds is a voluntary nonprofit and a member of Riverside Health System. The hospital features a neonatal intensive care unit with 21 beds and neonatologists located on-site. Some weekends required and call shared among all CRNAs. Call is taken from home, with around 2 per month on average. Requirements Responsibilities Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discusses anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements Current license as a registered professional nurse Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists Lifestyle Newport News, VA: The City of Newport News in Virginia is noted for diversity, international commerce, technological research, and shipbuilding.
