Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head in portfolio management.  Portfolio to be managed within acceptable risk parameters and in accordance with the investment objectives, mandates and guidelines established

  • Provide ideas/feedback on sector views and stock selection

  • Monitor and provides updates on companies and sectors within the portfolio

  • Assist in executing portfolio strategy and monitoring

  • Ensure all trades are within risk parameters and guidelines

  • Conduct company visits and site visits to listed companies

  • Monitor and update all economic data and development

  • Support requests from regional offices including; attending regional bi-weekly, quarterly strategy and risk management calls, providing update on local Malaysia market and developments, provide input to the regional Model Portfolio

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills on equity markets, industry trends, stocks and quantification of the corresponding impact on the market portfolio investments

  • Good understanding of macroeconomic fundamentals and various industries

  • Strong numerical and statistical knowledge and application

  • Proactive and good team player spirit
