Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will develop custom software solutions that involve designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems or applications. Your typical day will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing modern frameworks, and applying agile practices to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions that meet specific business needs. You will engage in problem-solving and innovation to ensure that the software solutions are tailored effectively to the requirements of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. - Continuously evaluate and improve software development processes to increase efficiency. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Python (Programming Language). Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills • Strong communication and collaboration skills Strong risk mindset in design and architecture • Flexibility to contribute across different areas of the project • A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative • A mindset focused on learning, reusing strategic platforms, and making sustainable technical decisions Must-Have Skills & Experience •University degree in Computer Science or a related field •Experience working in an Agile environment •Strong team player able to collaborate with internal teams and vendors •Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders •Proven experience as a Systems Engineer and Designer in Azure, web apps and AI •Good experience in UBS security standards and entitlement systems i.e. ECMS, BBS, familiar with SSO integration process and Auth0 •Strong experience in programming in Python and PowerShell •Ability to troubleshoot and deep-dive but also keep the bigger picture in mind •Basic knowledge of SQL •Experience in Azure Services especially Azure AD/Entra Nice-To-Have Skills & Experience •Experience with GitLab and DevOps practices •Understanding of LLM models •Basic data analytics skills •Solution architect experience •Familiarity with UBS processes - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Microsoft Azure Data Services, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP). - Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices. - Experience with version control systems such as Git. - Familiarity with database management and data modeling techniques. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Python (Programming Language). - This position is based at our Pune office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
