Warehouse Lead - Weekend Nights

Friday - Sunday and every other Thursday 5:00pm - 5:00am

The hourly wage for this position is $23.13 to $24.06 plus $2/hour shift dif.

Sign On Bonus - $2,000

This highly visible position is located at our Vancouver, WA facility.

What you’ll do:

This position will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Supervisor in the coordination and organization of warehouse activities and personnel as well as the receipt of raw ingredients and Work In Process (WIP) materials into the facility.

Essential Functions:

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety policies and practices, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Responsible at all times for ensuring that tasks are performed according to food safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.  
  • Coordinate activities of workers engaged in lifting, transporting, storing and loading materials while applying knowledge of warehouse layout and material handling equipment and procedures. 
  • Accurately receive all raw materials into WMS and provide to Quality team for sampling.
  • Reconcile posted WMS receipts vs. SAP purchase orders including associated SAP workflow and cycle count adjustments as needed.
  • Assist Warehouse Supervisor in the coordination of worker activities including verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment. 
  • Assist supervisor with delegating the picking/kitting process for orders that are scheduled to run in packaging or manufacturing
  • Assist the Shipping Supervisor in overseeing outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. 
  • Notify the Warehouse Supervisor of any changes on the warehouse floor (product, labels, etc.). 
  • Aid in the inspection of loading and unloading operations to ensure compliance with specifications. 
  • Assist in the direction of movement of shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage and work areas. 
  • Operate forklift to assist in loading and moving materials and products. 
  • Ensure stock is rotated for First In First Out (FIFO) by lot number and expiration date. 
  • Ensure all labels are correct for kitted orders.
  • Prepare kits for operations as needed.
  • Answer employee questions regarding receiving or kitting processes. 
  • Convey employee’s questions or requests to Warehouse Supervisor when needed. 
  • Ensure all work areas are constantly cleaned and stocked. 
  • Pull pallets down for distribution. 
  • Assist with the inventory conversion process. 
  • Perform other duties as required.

What you’ll need:

  • High school diploma or GED plus one (1) year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or an equivalent combination of experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the job.
  • Knowledge of receiving and warehousing procedures and documentation requirements. 
  • Knowledge of postal and commercial shipping methods and procedures. 
  • Ability to train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. 
  • Ability to make evaluative judgments. 
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems. 
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. 
  • Ability to prepare and maintain routine administrative paperwork. 
  • Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment. 
  • Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance. 
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Ability to maintain punctuality and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clean room attire; perform moderate physical activity which requires standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day and up to twelve (12) hours per shift and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds; and perform work onsite in a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust.
