A Brief Overview:
The purpose of this job is to provide medical services to hospital patients.

What you will do:
  • Maintain membership, in good standing, on the Professional Staff of the Hospital.
  • Obtain and maintain any necessary medical staff appointments and privileges to render professional services at all other hospitals and health care facilities to which the Hospital provides services.
  • Abide by and comply with all bylaws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and other requirements of Hospital and of any hospital or health care facility to which Hospital provides services.
  • Disclose to the Hospital and Department Chairman the existence of any investigation or proceeding against Physician instituted by any plaintiff, government agency, health care facility, peer review organization or professional society.
  • Assist in reviewing existing regulation.
  • Help in the development of proposed policies and regulations for the promotion of quality care and safety in the provision of radiation oncology and nuclear medicine services in the Department and other programs in the Hospital, as appropriate.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs related to radiation oncology and nuclear medicine services.
  • Participate in teaching and academic services relating to radiation oncology and nuclear medicine services as reasonably requested by Hospital.
  • Agrees to cooperate with and assist the Hospital professional staff members in preparing clinical reports for education and/or publication.
  • Assist in the evaluation of the performance of Hospital professional staff in providing radiation oncology and nuclear medicine services.

What you will need:
  • Masters Degree Required
  • Must have completed designated program for radiation oncology/nuclear medicine physician.
  • Licensure in State of Illinois, Required
  • Board Certification, Controlled Substance License (if applicable)
