This role supports the credit analysis function by managing the onboarding, validation, and interpretation of financial data received from borrower financial statements and compliance certificates. The candidate will ensure data integrity, accuracy in covenant monitoring, and proper application of IFRS-based accounting concepts for financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will be well versed on the analysis of financial statements of private companies with an emphasis on credit.  The incumbent will oversee the curation of financial statements throughout the investment life cycle, working in close partnership with deal-teams, vendor consultants, and middle and back-office teams.
Responsibilities include: 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, review, and onboard financial data from audited/actual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and borrower compliance certificates on Monthly/Quarterly or Annual basis.
  • Validate and reconcile reported figures to ensure consistency with IFRS standards and internal credit models.
  • Calculate and verify financial covenants such as leverage ratios, interest coverage, and liquidity metrics.
  • Perform EBITDA adjustments and other normalizations as defined in loan agreements and credit documentation.
  • Analyse trends in borrower performance and flag potential risks or covenant breaches to credit analysts.
  • Update internal systems and dashboards with accurate financial and covenant data for portfolio monitoring.
  • Collaborate with credit and operations teams to support periodic reviews, internal reporting, and audit queries.
  • Maintain structured documentation and control over all borrower data and covenant computations.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Strong organizational skills and good knowledge of the Microsoft Office pack, Adobe, etc.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce or Qualified Chartered Accountant.
