Applied Materials’ Global Information Systems group is searching for an intern to join our team in summer 2024!  Global Information Systems group manages all IT (Information Technology) activities within Applied Materials including infrastructure support, technical project management, Big Data/AI-ML activities, security controls, production and applications support and much more.

The position will entail the following:

  • Assist teams in various data initiatives:  React, Python websites, Big Data analysis, etc.
  • Manage small/medium size IT projects as project manager.  Full ownership of project success including deliverables, budget, resources, and timeline commits.
  • Guide cross-functional Business and IT team to align on different design/solutions
  • Work and communicate with business teams as well as executives in various areas.

Requirements

  • Student must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, or a related field
  • Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
  • Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred
  • Experience with data management/science project(s)
  • Good communications and team working skills

Compensation

$22- 30 per hour

The rate offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
