Position Summary

The General Orthopedic Surgeon plays a vital role within MultiCare Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, providing comprehensive musculoskeletal care to patients of all ages. This physician is part of a collaborative team that includes fellow surgeons, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Physical Therapists, Nurses, and other clinical professionals, all working together to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of orthopedic conditions.
This role encompasses expertise in fracture care, soft tissue injuries, arthritis, sports-related injuries, and both operative and non-operative treatment approaches. The general orthopedic surgeon is integral in promoting mobility, reducing pain, and improving quality of life for patients through evidence-based care and coordinated rehabilitation planning.Responsibilities • Evaluate and manage patients with musculoskeletal injuries, joint disorders, and degenerative conditions • Perform general orthopedic procedures including fracture fixation, arthroscopy, joint injections, and soft tissue repair • Provide pre-operative and post-operative education and care • Utilize minimally invasive and evidence-based surgical techniques when appropriate • Collaborate with rehabilitation specialists to support optimal recovery and functional outcomes • Participate in orthopedic department’s on-call rotation • Document clinical encounters accurately and maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory standards Requirements • Board certified/eligible in orthopedic surgery at time of employment • Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association • BE/BC Orthopedic Surgery o An Orthopedic Fellowship is preferred but not required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $750,000.00 - $750,000.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
