Job Description:

ADI’s Wearable and Prosumer Solutions Business Unit is looking for an enthusiastic physical design engineer at our Bengaluru Location.

Primary duties include:

  • Synthesis (basic understanding of DFT is a plus)

  • Floorplanning, including ESD/pad ring development

  • Place and Route

  • Detailed CTS knowledge for low power, low latency clock trees

  • Static Timing Analysis, including signoff definition

  • Physical Verification

  • IR drop and EM analysis

  • Low power implementation and verification techniques

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive industry experience in physical design (RTL2GDSII) with hands-on experience in full-chip/block level place and route, floor planning, power planning, chip integration, ECO flows, timing closure, power and clock optimization, and physical verification

  • Scripting skills in Perl and TCL

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills enabling efficient knowledge sharing and collaboration with product development groups and CAD tool teams spread across multiple sites

  • Candidates with exposure to low power implementation using UPF/CPF will be at an advantage

  • Candidates with experience using Cadence digital implementation tools (Genus, Innovus, Tempus) and Calibre physical verification for DRC/LVS would be preferred

  • A knowledge of issues and techniques applicable to mixed-signal design environments would be an advantage
