About you and this role

The Smart Reference Data (SRD) Business Process specialist is aligned to the Operations IT/OT Equipment Digital Thread - Engineer and Build Team. The role Serves as an Operations IT/OT specialist and supports defined set of global processes, procedures, and I/T applications, tools and systems aligned with one or more Operations IT/OT technology disciplines and/or business process areas.

Provides technical work processes and support to enable adoption and use of corporate, best-in-class processes and applications by end users across all businesses and at all sites.  Requires advanced skills in a range of processes, procedures, and systems, and/or specialized technical expertise within an operational process to perform a broad range of work assignments. Executes tasks and activities aligned to the high-level Operations IT/OT strategy along with technology discipline and/or business process multi-generation plans to support optimal capability of processes, procedures, and related IT solutions.  Works in a team, providing subject matter guidance and coordinating work with others.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains piping line classes within SRD at the Global catalog level, as well as Piping specifications, Sheet configuration, Item Code creation and other configurations.
  • Ensures consistency across the piping components catalog and the Smart 3D catalog.
  • Translates Industry-specific piping codes and standards into SRD and S3D. Bridging technical details with practical implementation.
  • Handles bulk loading of reference data changes into the Smart3D catalog. Ensures Rigorous testing is conducted prior to adhere data integrity and minimize errors during implementation.
  • Troubleshoots catalog-related issues in a timely manner. Ensures work is scheduled and prioritized to accommodate project design team needs with minimum impact.
  • Ensures configuration changes/processes are documented, and instructions for users/Super users are created.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance and improve the overall end-user experience. Supports non-piping specification and Catalog implementation.

Qualifications

  • A bachelors in any engineering stream.
  • Detailed understanding of S3D architecture.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in SRD application support, S3D catalog
  • Excellent Working knowledge and experience with Smart Reference data (SRD)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Capital Project Execution is preferred
  • Knowledge of engineering hardware disciplines (Electrical, piping, instrumentation, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SRD back-end and expertise in SQL queries
