Summary: As an Application Developer, you will design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring that the applications are developed and implemented efficiently and effectively, while meeting the needs of the organization. Your typical day will involve collaborating with the team, making team decisions, engaging with multiple teams, and providing solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams. You will also contribute to key decisions and provide expertise in Java Full Stack Development. Roles & Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees - Apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment - Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements - Build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues - Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities. Professional & Technical Skills: - Bachelor or equivalent focusing on engineering or science or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution - Ideally 8+ years of experience in a similar position focused on developing applications in Java/Spring/Spring Boot and related frameworks within the finance sector - Interested in learning new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind - Strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing - Fluent in Java, experienced in spring boot, Kubernetes - Experience developing microservices and cloud development, Azure experience preferred - Knowledge in API design, implementation, and system integration using REST APIs and messaging technologies such as Kafka - Exposure to BPM tools like activiti or Flowable is a big plus. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in Java Full Stack Development - This position is based at our Bengaluru office - A 15 years full time education is required
