DTG:

The Digital Transformation Group (DTG) at Pure Storage is dedicated to enhancing internal digital experiences for employees, customers, and partners. DTG empowers the business by streamlining systems and processes that drive product and service innovation. As part of the Analytics Applications team, you’ll help build intelligent, intuitive applications that surface data insights and operational workflows across the company.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE...

• Designing, deploying, and operating backend services and infrastructure on AWS.
  
  
• Owning and improving day-2 operations including monitoring, alerting, scaling, cost optimization, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and incident response.
  
  
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, safe, and automated delivery of software and infrastructure changes.
  
  
• Collaborating with developers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, and observable systems.
  
  
• Developing and maintaining backend services in Python (with occasional work in TypeScript or Golang).
  
  
• Managing data flows and working with SQL-based databases such as PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
  
  
• Ensuring security best practices across infrastructure and application layers (IAM, secrets, patching, encryption, etc.).
  
  
• Supporting and improving containerized and serverless deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, and other modern AWS services (ECS, Lambda, etc.).

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  
  
• 6+ years of experience in backend engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles.
  
  
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services (EC2, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, etc.).
  
  
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar.
  
  
• Proficiency in Python for backend development, scripting, and automation.
  
  
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with managing relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), including backup and recovery strategies.
  
  
• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) with tools like Terraform.
  
  
• Security-first mindset: you follow and promote best practices for cloud security and compliance.
  
  
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented open-office environment.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague, Czech Republic office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
