Review of co-ordinate systems and particle Kinematics. Moving co-ordinates, rigid body Kinematics of translation and rotation. Impulse and momentum, work and energy. D'Alembert formulation and multi-degree-of-freedom systems. Euler's equations, gyroscopic torques. Principle of Virtual work, Larange's equations, generalized forces.

Requirements:

Candidate Profile:

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.
• High level of expertise in the subject matter.
• Background in mechanical engineering.
• Licensed or eligible for licensing as a professional engineer in one of the provinces of Canada.

Instruction mode:

Courses will be taught online.

Midterms and Final exam will be in person. Please note that this method may change due to health measures or other reasons.
