Environmental Health and Safety

  • Complies with Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.

  • Identifies and reports any unsafe work practices

  • Strives to find safer ways for customers to work with Sandvik’s products

Tax Matters

  • Quarterly

  • Internal current and deferred tax reporting to Group Tax

  • Review of quarterly tax provisions for all entities within the legal company

  • Coordination of tax provision transfers

  • Annually

  • Compilation of all working papers for annual corporate tax return

  • Compilation of data for transfer pricing documentation

  • Ongoing

  • Main point of contact and information provider for tax audits

  • Reporting of tax audits to Group Tax

  • Inform and obtain guidance from Group Tax on uncommon transactions

  • Provide support on tax matters to stakeholders within the legal entity and those in associated entities

  • Control Owner for tax internal controls

Treasury Matters

  • Manage bank administration for sub-cash pool to open/close bank accounts, maintain signing authorities and manage user access rights to banking platforms

  • Work with the entities to forecast cash requirements

  • Manage foreign exchange exposure

  • Calculation of annual dividend payment

  • Coordination of incoming dividend payments

  • Ensure that the company is adequately capitalized by maintaining appropriate levels of cash and investments

  • Provide support to acquired entities to join the cash pool

  • Oversee corporate credit card program

  • Control Owner for treasury internal controls

Insurance Matters

  • Oversee insurance activities

  • Manage insurance renewals

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • Strong customer service focus.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team.

  • Self-directed with high attention to detail.

  • High level time management and planning/organizational skills.

  • Problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Publisher

  • Comfortable working in a matrix organization.

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 - 10 years relevant experience in a sales/distribution or corporate environment setting.

EDUCATION

Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration or Finance
