What You Will Do

Guidehouse is looking for a Release Train Engineer.  The Release Train Engineer possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others. The Release Train Engineer role: 

  • Manages and optimizes the flow of value through the ART and Solution Train using various tools, such as the Program and Solution Kanban and other information radiators.
  • Facilitates Program Increment (PI) planning readiness by fostering the preparation of vision and backlogs, and through pre- and post-PI Planning meetings.
  • Facilitates the PI planning event.
  • Assists tracking the execution of features and capabilities.
  • Assists with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary.
  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.
  • Helps manage risks and dependencies.
  • Escalates and track impediments.
  • Improves the flow of value through value streams using the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps.
  • Facilitates system demos and solution demos.
  • Drives relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops.
  • Assesses the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and helps them improve.

 What You Will Need

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TOP SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • EIGHT (8) or more years of experience related to Release Train or Scrum and or Program/Project Manager

What Would Be Nice To Have

  • Experience with Atlassian Software products (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk, etc.)

The annual salary range for this position is $144,400.00-$216,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
