Job Description:

Hitachi Automation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Covington, OH.

Responsibilities:

• Project Coordination: Manage the entire project schedule and coordinate with suppliers or vendors.
• Customer Interaction: Conduct meetings with customers to understand and summarize their requirements.
• Mechanical Specifications: Define specifications for mechanical items for automated machines.
• Vendor Management: Handle RFQs to vendors to get job quotes, request the building of mechanical items, and program PLC and HMI.
• Quality Assurance: Check specifications and functions with vendors.
• Testing Support: Provide support for tests at Hitachi Automation.
• On-site Support: Provide mechanical engineering support at customer sites.
• Sales Support: Assist the sales team, including quoting for mechanical items and visiting customers for sales purposes.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in related role.
• Experience in project management and coordination.
• Strong understanding of automated systems in the automotive industry.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work with vendors and manage RFQ processes.
• Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming.
