SUMMARY
The Senior (Sr.) Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Business Partner serves as a strategic thought partner for assigned business teams and uses reporting and analytics to generate actionable insights, support decision making, resolve issues, and drive results. This includes aiding in the development of business cases, assisting in the creation of forecasts, and producing dashboard and KPI reporting and analysis. Additionally, this position collaborates with various departments to develop budgets, forecasts and provide insights and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making. They also analyze financial data, identify trends, and assess the financial impact of business initiatives. The Sr. Business Partner requires frequent interaction with numerous functional business areas as well as individuals at various levels throughout the organization.
JOB DUTIES
- Business Support & Financial Analytics:
- Serves as a strategic thought partner for the assigned team and develop a general understanding of systems and processes.
- Generates actionable insights through data analysis and reporting, including dashboard and KPI reporting. Assists the business with resolving issues and driving results.
- Planning & Forecasting:
- Leads the development of capital, headcount, and administrative expense forecasts, specific to the assigned group, through coordination with department leaders.
- Owns the total rollup of all capital forecasts across the company by working with other Finance teams.
- Challenges forecast assumptions to ensure projections are realistic, align with business goals, and appropriately reflect known risks and opportunities.
- Leads monthly capital open-to-buy meetings to review the financial health of key projects and ensure capital spend is allocated appropriately.
- Business Case Analysis:
- Aids decision making through an ROI lens by supporting the development of business cases. This includes interacting with numerous departments throughout the business to ensure all costs and benefits are appropriately captured.
- Financial Close:
- Supports the monthly financial close process by researching drivers of material variances to forecast and prior year(s) and provides associated commentary on the financial statements.
- Assesses for risks and opportunities to the forecast based on actual results.
- Facilitates meetings and/or coordinates the transfer of information between accounting and the business.
- System Administration:
- Serves as an administrator for both the non-merchandise procurement system (Coupa) and financial planning system (Oracle EPM EPBCS).
- Reconciles system submitted budgets to the financial forecast and ensures spend follows the appropriate approval processes.
- Performs system testing and drives system enhancements to improve process flows.
- Special Projects & Analysis:
- Supports key strategic projects and other company initiatives as needed.
- Continuously assesses for opportunities to improve processes and enhance work products.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree – Finance or related field
Education Preferred: Master’s Degree – Business Administration, Finance, or related field
Experience Minimum: 5+ years of experience in Finance or related field
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This role requires in-person attendance 4 days a week at the Store Support Center (SSC) located in Hudson, OH. Flexibility to work remotely when requested is determined by management and business needs.
- Sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods while maintaining focus and productivity.
- Move around an office space and between buildings on a large campus, including reaching for files, retail product, supplies, or equipment, as well as the ability to adapt to various workstation setups.
- Work standard business hours and extended hours as needed based on task and project demands.
- Utilization of all communication styles - written, verbal, electronic options.
- Lift and carry office supplies, documents, retail product or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds as needed for tasks such as organizing or setting up workstations.

- Previous knowledge of corporate performance management systems (i.e., Oracle EPM)
