Position description:
You will lead and manage a team of inside sales representatives to drive sales growth and customer engagement. You will oversee the team’s sales processes, ensure effective follow-up on leads, and work closely with marketing and other internal teams to ensure smooth customer journeys. You will also be responsible for optimizing team performance, setting goals, tracking KPIs, and guiding your team in converting prospects into loyal customers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Inspire and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed their sales targets by setting clear objectives, providing ongoing support, and maintaining a results-driven environment. Monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to ensure the team remains focused and on track to achieve both individual and collective goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of sales representatives, providing guidance and support to drive individual and team success. Ensure continuous development through training, feedback, and performance management.
- Oversee and optimize the sales pipeline by ensuring effective follow-up on leads and opportunities, as well as managing the sales cycle from prospecting to closing. Ensure your team maintains accurate records in Salesforce.
- Collaborate with your team to build relationships with existing customers, address queries, and spot opportunities for additional product or service sales. Work to improve customer retention and satisfaction.
- Develop and track key sales metrics, monitor individual and team progress against goals, and make data-driven decisions to improve sales outcomes. Provide regular reports to leadership on team performance, sales data, and business insights.
- Work closely with the marketing, product, and customer support teams to align on lead generation, product offerings, customer needs, and strategies for upselling and cross-selling.
- Regularly conduct team training and workshops to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and CRM tool (Salesforce) proficiency. Drive continuous improvement in sales activities, ensuring a high level of professionalism and efficiency within the team.
- Ensure feedback from customers is captured accurately and used to improve sales tactics, customer engagement strategies, and overall sales outcomes. Share insights with product and customer experience teams for process improvement.
- Oversee the preparation of quotes for potential clients, ensuring all necessary information, including pricing, credit terms, and sales order processes, is accurately presented.
What we’re looking for:
- 6+ years' overall experience in sales calls and prospect management with a demonstrated ability to convert prospects, closing deals and achieving defined goals.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a sales team, with a track record of driving sales growth and performance.
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution ability.
- Ability to engage customers and build strong relationships.
- Strong data analytics ability with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with high energy and drive to succeed.
- Experience with customer relationship management software and knowledge of marketing automation software.
- Ability to embrace change and learn quickly.
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed, with a strong focus on achieving sales goals and exceeding expectations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to leverage data to make informed decisions and drive sales performance.
- Monotype is expanding globally. Proficiency in one or more of the following languages is desirable (not mandatory) for this role: German, Japanese, French, Spanish.
