Mercy Hospital’s Adult Med/Surg & Telemetry Unit provides care to diverse populations of adult patients with ranging medical and surgical needs. In your role as Nurse Manager, you will support and impact patient care, empower and engage staff and look to make positive changes. Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
Managing the practice and delivery of nursing care.
Establishing clinical direction and providing clinical supervision.
Supervising all aspects of personnel management and development.
Developing and monitoring budgets.
Maintaining adherence to regulatory standards.
The ideal future caregiver is someone who:
Has nurse management experience in an acute care setting.
Has working knowledge of caregiver management and team building.
Demonstrates excellent leadership, management, communication, problem solving, decision making, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
High degree of clinical expertise in specialty area managed.
Demonstrated leadership, management, communication, counseling, problems solving, decision making, conflict resolution and group process skills.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)
If in an ED, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department.
