Role Overview We are seeking a senior leader to reimagine and elevate Accenture Song’s Earned Media offering in South Africa. You will define its culture, identity and strategic vision - building a high-performing team and establishing earned media as a critical growth engine. A key focus is stabilising and re-energising an anchor client bringing back passion, trust, and excellence that has defined the relationship for 18+ years. You will transfer skills, mentor the team, embed lasting capability, and play a pivotal role in new business, shaping proposals, pitching strategically, and scaling the offering. Key Responsibilities ● Lead the transformation of the Earned Media & PR practice - positioning, culture, offering, and financial contribution. ● Build, mentor and transfer skills to a high-performing team of PR, influencer and content specialists. ● Shift mindsets from serving clients to becoming a market-leading, creative, contagious earned media team. ● Provide hands-on leadership on key client accounts ensuring measurable impact and strong partnerships. ● Drive new business growth through strategic proposals and integrated campaigns. ● Champion innovation, thought leadership, and integrated solutions across creative, digital, media, and analytics. Candidate Profile ● 15+ years’ senior leadership experience in earned media, PR, or integrated communications in a major agency or consultancy. ● Experience as hands-on client leader with financial-services or corporate experience. ● Skilled in mentoring and knowledge transfer, embedding lasting capability. ● Commercially savvy with experience driving new business and strategic growth. ● Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and highly visible - with a track record of innovation and integration.
