JOB DESCRIPTION

• Support outsourcing initiatives on machined parts, weldments, sheet metal, mechanical assemblies and cables/ wire harnessing
• Answer vendor questions related to specifications on assemblies and parts being outsourced
• Interface with Design Engineering to identify drawing change requirements and to correct drawings and/or offer ideas for Design for Manufacturability.
• Manage bill of materials (BOM) analysis and questions.
• Generate Change Notices to correct or improve Engineering documentation
• Coordinate and support component cost reduction initiative
• Select replacement Components (mechanical and electrical) due to parts obsolescence. Requires a comprehensive understanding of the part specifications with investigation of the suitability of the replacement part for the design.
• Investigate and select alternative parts to support critical supply chain issues

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE

$20.00 - $24.00

This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.

Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on

multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work

location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as

you develop within the role.

Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the

Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular

employees working 20+ hours a week).
