The Job:
As a Production Planner, you’ll be part of our Tools & Outdoor team working as an on-site employee based in Dallas, TX. You’ll get to:
Use SBD systems like SAP/JDA/PowerBI/SAP BW/Excel reports Daily/Weekly/Monthly to determine optimal production schedule release and identify finished good materials requiring expediting, rescheduling, or canceling.
Assist supply chain department with building and communicating the Master Production Schedule, which includes reporting the daily/weekly/monthly production attainment schedule.
Evaluate and maintain accurate planning parameters within JDA and SAP.
Assess and respond timely to demand inputs regarding sales trends, DC network inventory requirements, upcoming promotions, and new product implementation.
Partner with operations to balance and maintain production plan vs installed capacity outside of the manufacturing lock horizon.
Attend daily production meetings and utilize tools, such as reporting of inventory status and using key components tracker to increase efficiency in the department.
Monitor past due production orders, identifies root cause reason for past due and re-plans volume according to demand and network inventory needs.
Evaluate Weekly/Monthly PSI reports for finished goods to evaluate total DC network inventory health and develop corrective planning action plans to correct gaps vs plan.
Work with all inventory personnel daily to keep and maintain accurate perpetual inventory using SAP, Bex, JDA, or any other SBD system required. This will require spending time on the manufacturing floor in the facility.

The Person:

Bachelor of Business Administration degree from four-year college or university. A major in supply chain management strongly preferred
Preferred understanding of and experience in Lean Manufacturing
3-6 years Supply Chain experience
3-6 years with material buying experience and training through the knowledge of materials and planning operations
Manufacturing background with knowledge of and experience in scheduling, bills - of - material, routing, procurement and manufacturing requirements/resource planning
Strong computer skills and experience to include, but not limited to, MS Office and SAP
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and write or prepare reports, presentations, and business correspondence
Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills
Good communication that is able to relay information, priorities or directions to supervisors and operators
Ability to make educated decisions or develop solutions to problems that may arise
Must be able to make individual decisions in a timely manner and be able to complete a job function and projects despite negative feedback to change
Must maintain confidentiality of information
