Are you interested in working with an elite team that is at the core of everything we do?  We are looking for a Systems Integration Developer to work with some of our newest and largest customers. In this role you will be working with the entire suite of QNX products (Hypervisor, QAVF, Blackchannel, Acoustics, etc). Your input will be valuable to help guide both module and system level architecture from the early stages of the project. You will be exposed to bleeding edge technology from both QNX and our customers in the areas of ADAS, electrification, autonomous drive, high performance computing, virtualization, and everything automotive.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Help to establish module and system level architecture at beginning of projects
  • Making “best practice” recommendations for using QNX products
  • Running experiments to help prove out architectural decisions
  • Troubleshooting and debugging customer issues
  • Participate in safety and security related topics (training will be provided)
  • Writing “Proof Of Concept” apps to aid integration of QNX modules into customer systems
  • Deep dive of performance issues and possible optimizations
  • Learning how to leverage the differences in the various HW platforms to an advantage

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or another related field
  • 5+ years embedded software development
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
  • Customer service experience in a related environment would be an asset

Technical Requirements

  • Must have strong C programming skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have knowledge of GCC and GDB
  • Experience working on large projects with high levels of integration would be an asset
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking/innovation, including the ability to identify and analyze technical problems
  • Hands on development experience using embedded operating systems (QNX, Linux, GreenHills, VXworks preferred)
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Proven ability to deal with sensitive matters with a degree of diplomacy, tact, and confidentiality
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to learn about new technologies
  • Hands on experience in the development of software following safety standards (ISO26262, IEC61508, etc) or MIL standards would be a standout skill

This role involves some travelling within North America and Europe
