The CommBank Small Business Banking team have a passion for helping Australian small businesses succeed. The team seek to understand the business and personal goals of business owners and use their expertise and specialist teams to provide tailored financial solutions.

Small Business Banking is a part of CBA Business Banking and provides in branch face-to-face and remote support to Small Businesses across Australia. In Small Business Banking, we cultivate strong connections with our communities and customers by building deep connections, having compelling proposition and exceptional execution.

As an Analyst in Small Business Banking, you will be accountable for providing Commercial and Home Lending expertise to Small Business customers and Lenders, providing end to end support for self-employed home loan applications.

You will provide retail solutions to these customers, generating new business and focusing on meeting all self-employed banking needs while ensuring risk management practices are appropriately implemented.

Do work that matters.

  • Support Lenders and Business Bankers with self-employed home loan and Commercial lending applications from interview through to settlement and help with any end-to-end processes required.
  • Prepare credit submissions for new facilities, financial modelling and analysis relating to Small Business clients
  • Pro-actively support stakeholder teams to drive retail and business banking opportunities amongst their client base, seeking to maximise sales and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Achieve customer service excellence by demonstrating the Bank’s customer service standards.
  • Interacting with customers and stakeholder both by phone, video conference and face-to-face to build positive relationships.
  • Resolve and respond to client enquiries / complaints in an accurate, timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure that customer applications are compliant prior to delivery to Mortgage Services

We want to hear from you if you have

  • Experience in and knowledge of mortgage lending products & services
  • Experience with business lending including writing and analysing credit transactions, ideally within Business and/or Commercial Banking.
  • Strong understanding of Balance Sheets, P&L, Structuring of loans, securities and financial products.
  • The capacity to flourish in a busy, commercial, competitive environment.
  • Experience with self-employed lending for small business customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
