Members of the Cross Function Control & Projects team aspire to create an environment that fosters cross functional collaboration and continuous improvement to create solutions that will enhance the client service experience and support a robust risk and control infrastructure while ensuring global alignment across Market Operations.

This role within Cross Function Control & Projects will support transformation efforts for Cash Securities Operations Fixed Income and Equities securities settlements across various trading desks and depositories.  Candidates should have a proven settlement/operations background specific international investment banking.  The position will act in a subject matter expert capacity to support efforts for a legacy application retirement and SEC UST (US Treasuries) Central Clearing.  The candidate will need to work closely with the Market Operations Transformation Program Management Office (PMO) team in addition to working with technology to provide requirements and test technology solutions. The candidate will be expected to attend calls and support the various projects across Cash Securities to support complex and critical projects in efforts to drive the business forward as well as strategic initiatives and industry changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices.
  • Work closely with the Change Management team to review strategic opportunities for innovative solutions to help re-engineer processes, build scale and mitigate risk.
  • Communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Work with line SMEs to identify inefficiencies in daily tasks and processes that can be added to the Book of Work for technology solutions to increase straight through processing and risk mitigation.
  • Continued engagement and discourse with our business, technology, and operations partners.
  • Support the development of an effective control framework that fully meets Audit, Compliance and Regulatory requirements.
  • Provides guidance when reviewing business or industry initiatives and ensuring successful implementation, and sound controls are in place.
  • Demonstrates an advanced level of understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate integrate with others in the team and closely related teams.
  • Utilizes strong communication, interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex sensitive information, while being sensitive to audience diversity

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience (3+ years of Securities Settlement Experience, preferred UST/MBS Settlements)
  • Ability to work in a structured, high volume, time sensitive, high risk and demanding environment.
  • Good analytical skills and positive attitude
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive
  • Strong risk management and control mindset
  • Self-reliant, good problem solver results oriented.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$70,080.00 - $105,120.00
