SAP Developer (Integration - BTP)
What you will do

In this vital role you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of integration solutions within the ERP landscape, supporting both on-premise and cloud applications, aligned with SAP’s SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) strategy. This role will work under the guidance of senior architects to ensure that integration solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business requirements. The SAP Integration Developer will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement integration patterns and automation solutions, following standard processes for performance, security, and governance. This position involves hands-on development and technical support of SAP integration projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of Amgen’s integration strategy by supplying to the design and development of integration solutions for both on-premise and cloud-based applications.
Assist in the technical design of SAP integrations within the ERP landscape, ensuring alignment with defined principles and performance guidelines.
Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, System Integration partners, business teams, and other technical teams to deliver secure and effective integration solutions.
Work with collaborators to gather and clarify technical requirements and contribute to the design of integration architectures.
Implement operational procedures and monitoring tools to ensure the availability and performance of integration components.
Supply to the development and deployment of new interfaces, ensuring compliance with security standards and performance benchmarks.
Participate in the review of technical integration solutions and changes in the ERP landscape, ensuring they meet quality and governance standards.
Assist in maintaining governance processes and standards for interface development, ensuring consistency and alignment to standard processes.
Support the continuous development and execution of SAP Integration capabilities, including the adoption of modern integration patterns and tools.
Participate in efforts to increase the use of SAP BTP capabilities and ensure integration solutions align with Amgen’s “Clean Core” ERP vision.
Functional Skills:
Must-Have Skills:
Hands-on experience with SAP integration tools and technologies, such as SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), or similar platforms.
Knowledge of integration patterns and standard methodologies, including working with APIs, BAPIs, and OData services for SAP and non-SAP systems.
Solid understanding of ERP integration principles, particularly in SAP environments, with a focus on security and performance.
Experience in developing, testing, and deploying interfaces between SAP systems and other applications, both on-premise and in the cloud.

Familiarity with Cloud integration capabilities and security (e.g., AWS)
Experience leveraging SAP B2B for EDI integrations
Familiarity with Agile/DevOps processes and methodologies such as SAFe, CI/CD etc.
Basic Qualifications and Experience
Master’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 1 to 3 years of IT or related field experience OR
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 3 to 5 years of IT or related field experience OR
Diploma in computer science or STEM majors and 7 to 9 years of IT or related field experience
Professional Certifications:
SAP Integration (preferred)
Agile Certified Practitioner (preferred)
