1 - First ShiftAre you the type of person who is seen as a technical leader and has a passion for growing engineering talent? In this role, you will lead and direct a team of software engineers. We’re looking for someone who can ensure delivery of quality digital products while building a team culture where individuals can learn and grow.What You’ll Do
1. Lead and coach team members in performance of their duties. Monitor individual and team goals and ensure alignment with the technology strategies and objectives to drive key business results.
2. Mentor engineers using techniques like pair programming, developer community events, or mob sessions.
3. Coach engineers on how to do test-driven development and give them an understanding of good testing practices to design and automate several types of testing.
4. Deliver value to customers through design and delivery of software and solutions that may include front end interfaces, backend services, and logical/physical data storage.
5. Assist engineers with questions/roadblocks by using knowledge of system and technologies, understanding the complexity of problems and solutions and have input for design dilemmas.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other related field with a minimum of five years of relevant experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrates a combination of technical and leadership skills with the ability to coach other engineers.
- An agile/lean mindset and understanding of how to coach a team to adopt extreme programming (XP) practices.
- Advanced knowledge of C#/.Net, HTML, and Typescript/JavaScript frameworks (Angular preferred).
- Experience in developing, deploying, debugging and/or consuming API’s and cloud components (Azure preferred).
Travel
- No travel is expected of this position.
Work Location
