The Private Credit Loan Operations Analyst/Associate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the private credit loan portfolio. The role will support the growing business and team. AB-PCI has grown significantly over recent years and high caliber talent is needed to help support continued business growth, improve processes, and scale operations. Initial responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

  • Oversee the loan closing process from beginning to end. This includes managing coordination with legal counsel, reviewing loan documentation, and ensuring that funding is completed on time.
  • Coordinate all downstream settlement set up and post-trade and lifecycle activities among key stakeholders, including back-office, Fund Administrator, Trustee, and Treasury/Cash management.
  • Monitor the credits life cycle from post-close until repayment.  This will involve ensuring position and accrual accuracy, monitoring covenant requirements, and managing amendments, waivers, and modifications.
  • Proactively seek to minimize operational risk and support process improvements. Implement necessary changes to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate closely with the credit team, outsourced service providers, senior management and internal support groups to identify and mitigate risks in the investment portfolio. 

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications / skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 3+ years of experience in loan operations or related field, preferably from a private credit manager, collateral custodian/trustee or fund administrator. We are looking for a team-oriented individual who can collaborate closely with teammates on daily workflows and proactively share important information with the team.
  • The ideal candidate should be proactive, self-motivated, possess excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. They should have a keen eye for detail and maintain a high standard for accuracy and responsiveness.
  • The ideal candidate should possess the ability to prioritize work effectively, adapt to a fast-paced and challenging environment, and make sound decisions even when tasks change frequently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Preferred qualifications include familiarity with fund structures, loan agreements, and CLO indentures.
  • Familiarity with Sentry PM and PowerBi is considered an advantage.
