Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Provides direction and guidance to pharmacy associates by ensuring pharmaceutical equipment and inventory are managed according to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies; delegating and directing daily duties to pharmacy associates; and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed.

Maintains and tracks medication inventory by reporting low stock levels; ensuring stock rotation on a first-in, first-out basis to assist in shrinkage control; processing recalls and expired medications; performing inventory cycle counts; assisting with physical counts for annual inventories; and creating reports using inventory information systems.

Performs visual verification of prescriptions by validating prescription details for clinical and legal accuracy; verifying medication quantities; and ensuring standard of operations practices are adhered to by pharmacy associates.

Quickly adapts to the changing demands of production while maintaining high quality standards.

Obtains and renews multiple state pharmacist permits/registrations/licenses and trainings as necessary, in appropriate time-frames, to meet applicable board of pharmacy regulations, payer requests, or internal needs for the provision of services to patients.

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

Provides and supports the implementation of business initiatives by building relationships with associate and facility management; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Models compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply applicable laws, regulations, and company in executing business processes and practices.

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00-$150,000.00*

‎ 

*This pay range is for a 40 hours/week schedule. Weekly scheduled hours are determined individually and the ranges for different scheduled hours are prorated based on the percentage of 40 hours. E.g., the range for a 36 hours/week schedule, which is 90% of 40 hours, is 90% of the above range.

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy).

Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in state of practice.
