The National Private Equity Marketing Manager is a member of a Communications, Marketing and Growth (CMG) natural work team and is responsible for working collaboratively with the team to create the marketing strategy for private equity business across the US and Canada. This natural work team is aligned and understands the business strategy, and operates as a unified face to the practice, has a collective focus on driving brand and issues relevance, building communities and driving growth.  

The National Private Equity Marketing Manager collaborates with private equity national leaders to understand business strategies, provide new ideas that align with strategies, and positions relevant service offerings tied to issues and client needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Works closely with the national private equity leadership team and private equity CMG team to develop a marketing strategy and execute upon that marketing strategy; liaise with other relevant functions and marketing teams in order to ensure optimal coordination.
  • Is an active member of the private equity leadership team and serves as a strategic business advisor to the leadership team to define value proposition(s), key buyer challenges, solutions, value messages and positioning.
  • Develops content strategy to support business strategy and growth priorities.
  • Defines and is accountable for key marketing metrics and reporting back to the business. Understands and leverages data across CRM, web, and other platforms to measure and improve performance.
  • Understands priority markets and key services relevant for the private equity business and ensures programs are available for local deployment.
  • Develops and secures service line collaboration for the marketing strategy to support business growth goals.
  • Serves as the primary interface with Demand Generation team to provide inputs and guidance related to the translation of the marketing strategy to the demand program strategy.
  • Works directly with the centers of excellent (COEs) on marketing enablement needs of the service line.
  • Manages web content and works with the digital team on page revisions and updates as appropriate.
  • Collaborates on marketing strategy for new product launches

Other:

  • Builds and grows strong understanding of business and private equity through the development and deployment of a continuous learning plan.
  • Establishes and evolves competency in digital marketing, leveraging expertise of COE, as well as learning and development plans. Develops competency and understanding of digital marketing metrics and analytics, applying across plans to achieve and improve performance.
  • Drives the marketing plan and budget annually, Ensures that budget is aligned with business priorities, and proactively manages and monitors effective use of budget. Provides quarterly and “as needed” updates to Industry marketing lead and business stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree 

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint
  • Excellent project management, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • SEO and SEM skills
  • Proficiency in digital and content marketing campaign design and buyer journeys; understanding of digital marketing ecosystem
  • Competency in marketing data analytics

EXPERIENCE

  • 5-7 years of leading marketing/growth experience in B2B environment
  • Proven success managing marketing and relationship development programs
  • Ability to learn new subject areas quickly

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

  • Thorough understanding of various marketing channels
  • Strong sense of ownership and determination to get things done
  • Highly collaborative and able to work within a team to achieve stated team goals
  • Is consistently sought out as an advisor by business stakeholders and colleagues

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $92,600 - $159,000

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
