LEAD, PERFORMANCE OPERATIONS- NORTH AMERICA

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role is part of our Performance Operations team within NA DSM. You will be working closely with Global and Geo DSM partners, as well as multiple cross-functional partners across Consumer x Marketplace Teams, Insights & Analytics, Finance, Marketplace Supply Chain, among others.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Performance Operations Lead, to manage performance across hero Demand & Supply Management (DSM) KPI’s for our North America (NA) Geography. The successful candidate demonstrates curiosity, is proactive, and enjoys collaborating with others to influence decisions. They will have the ability to communicate effectively to audiences across different levels and functions of the organization. The person we’re looking for leverages analysis and storytelling skills to provide data-driven insights and recommendations on key business decisions.

  • Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, IF, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, Charts, etc.).

  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate data, identify trends, simplify complex data, visualize trade-offs, and make impactful recommendations grounded in data.

  • Effective storytelling with data. Comfortability in being able to distil complex datasets into high level themes for executive audiences.

  • Ability to understand how reporting methods of the past can be transitioned to proactive management methods, enabling us to make decisions faster.

  • Thorough understanding of Demand and Supply functions, ways of working and activities.

  • Foundational retail knowledge including Stock & Sales and Gross-to-Net Metrics.

  • Listens actively and makes insightful contributions to advance the conversation.

  • Self-starter, motivated, and proactive in setting direction and making recommendations. Deals with ambiguity by creating clarity instead of waiting for others to provide direction.

  • Takes initiative to proactively identify business opportunities and new processes, connecting the dots between details & execution to make strategic impact.

  • Preferred – Experience with visualization tools (PowerQuery, PowerPivot, PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3- 5 years directly

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role, you’ll be part of a team driving an aligned understanding of Nike’s business performance, with a sharp focus on Sales, Inventory, and Margin.  You will also help drive the process behind managing business performance, and connect insights to action.

You will:

  • Communicating storylines, partnering with Cross-Functional teams to contextualize business reporting, and enabling faster cross-functional execution of business priorities.

  • Developing reporting standards and guardrails, prioritizing reporting backlog, and prototyping reporting tools.

  • Partner with the Global DSM Performance Operations Team to provide insights and storytelling around key business results, aligning Geo-Global teams on future plans & forecasts.

  • Create and populate templates that will drive the agenda and storyline for leadership forums.

  • Conduct analysis and scenario modelling to support key business decisions.

  • Lead research, methodology definitions, & requirements of new metrics, in partnership with Global and other Geographies.
