Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Production Control and Materials Management Manager to join our dynamic team in Huntington Beach, California.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and first-level managers analyzing supply chain material requirements, developing and optimizing inventory planning and synchronizing supply chain demands.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides direction on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Directs production activities throughout the factory for all functions (Operations, Production Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Design Engineering) based on schedules and MRP demands.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 10 years of experience in Production Control and Material Management processes.
  • More than 5 years of experience managing or leading people or teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • APICS certification.
  • More than 5 years of experience with Production Operations or Production Control.
  • Experience working with Compass CONTRACT, IBI, MESci.

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: $136,850 - $169,050
