The Role: Commercial Head, Research Manager

The Team:

Research Manager is a rapidly expanding online platform for managing the administration tasks surrounding the consumption and evaluation of Research material as well as the dissemination of associated trading commissions. It's a growth product with a robust pipeline of customers and the need for dynamic individuals to join the success story. The team is spread across multiple locations and interacts with various areas, including product management, development, sales, client services, and operations. The Impact:

As the head of the commercial team for the Research Manager product suite, this role will drive growth and success for the business. The individual will determine the overall strategy for product innovation, pricing, and revenue growth.  This will include building and developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders so that the vision and capabilities of the product suite are understood and effectively utilized by clients to improve their processes. Additionally, the candidate's strong analytical skills and experience in research management, process modeling, and workflow development are essential to ensure that requirements for product development, designing innovative technologies, and identifying new opportunities in the research management space.

Responsibilities:

The role will be responsible for P&L of the overall Research Manager product, including budget projections and sales strategies.  This will entail building and developing relationships with buy side, sell side, and research providers to ensure they understand how the suite can improve their research administration processes. Additionally, the candidate will be leading the development of innovative technologies to support our client-led product development cycle and must possess strong analytical skills to ensure requirements are gathered, discussed internally, and delivered in a thoughtful and timely manner. As we are targeting to grow this business by 40% per year, the candidate will play a key role in identifying new opportunities (adjacent services, acquisitions, potential partnerships) in the research administration space while keeping a close eye on customer needs to develop and implement innovative solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

A degree in a relevant field such as finance, economics, or business.

Must have a strong knowledge of Research, MIFID II Unbundling, CSA and Research Funding models and experience working within this space.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $165,000 to $225,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
