Position Summary

Join the Specialty & Innovation team and contribute to the commercialization of an industry-leading portfolio! In this role, you will gain well-rounded commercial experience by supporting the execution of strategic plans behind exciting new launches in Hepatology as well as a large portfolio of established brands. 

 

Reporting to the Alliance & Portfolio Manager, the Specialty & Innovation Marketing Associate will work closely with other marketers and collaboratively with the wider cross-functional team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of marketing activities including market research and insight gathering, internal communications and tool development. You will also be responsible for supporting the day-to-day administration of a large and diverse established brands, including in forecasting and analytics, vendor engagement and supply chain management. 


This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Support market research projects and prepare reports which gather insights from environmental scans, sales data, activity performance, and other sources to make tactical recommendations
  • Support the development and deployment of marketing tools and internal communications
  • Support the organization and implementation of key internal meetings
  • Support with day-to-day administrative activities such as submitting POs, managing content lab, working with translation team, etc.

  • On track to graduating with a Bachelor degree or higher in marketing, communication, or business
  • Strong sense of accountability and desire to achieve positive results
  • Creative and strategic team player with excellent problem-solving skills  
  • Enjoys working collaboratively in team-based environment
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office (excel, word, PowerPoint)


What to expect

  • This is a paid summer student placement typically running from May to August and meant for students who will return to school after the contract.
  • The role is hybrid. You will work from a GSK office in Canada 2–3 days per week and remotely the rest of the time.
  • You will be supported by a mentor and receive regular feedback to help you grow.

The annual pay rate for new hires in this position ranges from CAD$31,980 to CAD$79,950 taking into account a number of factors including work location within the Canadian market, education level (e.g., Undergrad / Masters / MBA etc.) and based on the experience required for the role.
