We’re looking for a Materials Coordinator to join our team and help us manage our next portfolio of synthetic cell products. You will be working across receiving, shipping, inventory management/purchasing. Your primary objective is to support our manufacturing team. The responsibilities include purchasing, receiving inspection of raw materials, shipping semi finished and finished goods, fulfilling work orders, shipping products to the customers. We are a small but growing team and the applicant must be comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and driven applicants are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities:

  • Work in a cross functional team within Manufacturing, and other departments as needed.
  • Manufacturing activities (such as warehouse operations, shipping)
  • Inventory management, organization and maintenance within the warehouse, shipping and receiving area.
  • Enter and track raw materials and/or consumables information in the Inventory Management system.
  • Maintain and store all shipping, receiving and other pertinent records per company policies.
  • Ship products to the customers, coordinating with carriers and vendors as needed 
  • Assist with purchasing consumable and providing raw/inventoried materials for manufacturing & R&D operations as needed
  • Maintain inventory and perform physical inventory counts
  • Perform receiving inspections and release materials according to the written procedures
  • Support product investigations and report discrepancies according to procedures
  • Track all incoming materials including reporting and quarantine of damaged or expired items
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory health and safety guidelines for self
  • Responsible for maintaining training records for self up to date.
  • Identify blockers and bring up issues and concerns related to manufacturing activities
  • Occasional driving required, to drop off packages at express shipping facilities.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Background in warehouse, inventory management, shipping, planning, scheduling is required
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills/systems
  • Experience in Inventory Management Software or ERP is highly desirable
  • Be willing to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be a team player. Be flexible as part of a growing startup company.
  • Project Management experience is a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $20/hr. - $25/hr. + equity + benefits.
