Senior Payroll Analyst

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Based in Pune, India
  • Reporting to the Senior Manager Global Payroll (UK based)
  • Manage EMEA payroll & benefits processing for 3-4 assigned Countries
  • Backup for India Payroll and Benefits including audit and compliance tasks
  • Check other countries Payroll as 2nd reviewer in line with audit requirements
  • Ensure SOX Controls are adhered to
  • Ensuring compliancy with statutory requirements and company policies
  • Respond to employee queries via ticket platform in a timely manner
  • Review all payroll reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annually) and ensure accurate and timely filing with appropriate government authorities
  • Manage the Year-End preparation and delivery of annual forms within the required deadlines
  • Ad hoc Payroll support as and when needed for team members (vacation or sick leave cover)
  • Preparation of monthly reports as required, including journals and other reconciliations, and dealing with related queries from the Finance team
  • Assisting with special projects as needed
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests
  • Collaborate with different departments to gather necessary information for salary processing
  • Calculate and provide funding requirements for payroll, tax, and benefit payments
  • Raise Purchase Order Requisitions in Workday to cover ad-hoc Payroll invoices and benefit payments
  • Initiate payments related to payroll to local authorities on time through bank portal
  • Ability to work professionally and proactively with a remote stakeholder base
  • Confidentiality and Data Security regarding sensitive employee information, as per GDPR rules

Requirements

  • Previous end to end, country specific experience in EMEA & India Payroll is essential
  • Previous Benefit administration experience would be beneficial
  • Proficiency in excel is essential (VLOOKUP, Pivot, formula’s, shortcuts)
  • Experience with SOX compliance
  • Experience with journal entries (Basics of Debit and Credit)
  • Great analytical skills
  • A collaborative team player who can also take the initiative to act individually
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Time Management and prioritizing skills
  • Years of Experience: 5+ years
